ENRICHING OUR STUDENTS’ EXPERIENCE; PROPELLING THEIR SUCCESS

"At school, I did a lot: I was in 20 plays, worked in different offices, played on the basketball team, and studied a variety of things—the thrust of which focused on political science, economics, and law. My education gave me the ability to listen, quickly internalize information, discuss it with someone who has more in-depth knowledge than I do, understand patterns and trends, and form connections between abstract ideas that might seem disparate. I learned how to learn—and I use my Sarah Lawrence education every day."

ENHANCING STUDENT LIFE $8 Million

CAREER INVENTION AND CAREER SERVICES $12 Million

Rigorous, creative academic exploration and synthesis—and their expression through effective in-person and written communication—are at the heart of a Sarah Lawrence education. But a student’s years at Sarah Lawrence are also a time of personal discovery and growth—as well as an opportunity to explore the translation of this learning into work and service in the world.

Through The Campaign for Sarah Lawrence, we seek funds to support initiatives that add vitality, breadth—and fun—to a Sarah Lawrence education and, equally important, provide the service and internship opportunities that students need to connect their education to satisfying careers.

We are looking to raise $20 million for these important initiatives.

New endowed funds will better enable our graduates to define and take control of their lives after college—with the same sense of agency that we believe is so important to their undergraduate education.
