SUPPORTING PROGRESS TODAY:
THE FUND FOR SARAH LAWRENCE

If you have any interest in sustainability, if you have any interest in reimagining what leadership looks like, if you have any interest in social justice and change, if you have any interest in improving the lives of people around you, then you absolutely have to support generations to come who are the future change-makers. Sarah Lawrence is about nurturing those next generations. If we’re alumni who actually practice what we got from the school, then without a doubt, we understand its value. Let’s create a community of thoughtful human beings and use the model of Sarah Lawrence to do that.”

Damani Baker '96 Film faculty

Once named by Filmmaker magazine as one of “25 New Faces in Independent Film,” Damani Baker is a prolific filmmaker. Still Bill, his first feature documentary on legendary musician Bill Withers, was theatrically released nationally and made its television premiere on Showtime. A dedicated Sarah Lawrence alumnus and member of the faculty since 2003, Baker motivates and inspires his students, encouraging them to realize they have the resources, intelligence, and abilities to do whatever it is they imagine.

THE FUND FOR SARAH LAWRENCE $38.3 MILLION

Annual contributions to The Fund for Sarah Lawrence help bridge the gap between tuition revenue and what it costs to deliver a Sarah Lawrence education. These contributions are a resource upon which the College relies to help more than 60 percent of our students to attend. The Fund supports our outstanding faculty, enables the College to embark on new initiatives, furthers the technological needs of faculty and students, and helps to preserve and enhance our historic campus.

Generous, ongoing support from alumni, parents, and friends keeps Sarah Lawrence relevant, rewarding, and ahead of the curve. It is an important component of The Campaign for Sarah Lawrence.
